Applications are now open for the 2027 HIMSS Scholarships, including the HIMSS Foundation Scholarships, providing students pursuing careers in health information and technology with financial support and opportunities to advance their education and professional development. Applications will be accepted through 12 p.m. CT on Nov. 17, 2026.

The AWI Sponsored 2027 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition Scholarship will support two students pursuing a master's degree in health informatics at a CAHIIM-accredited program. Recipients will also receive paid registration and travel support to attend the 2027 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition, taking place April 5-8 in Chicago, and access to the Emerging Healthcare Leaders Reception.

The HIMSS Foundation will award two $5,000 scholarships, one undergraduate and one graduate, to HIMSS student members who demonstrate academic excellence and the potential to become future leaders in the health information and technology industry. Recipients will also receive paid registration and travel support to attend the 2027 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition.

Through scholarships, grants, internships and other educational opportunities, the HIMSS Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of health information and technology professionals, helping equip emerging leaders with the resources and experiences to make a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare.
