HIMSS is excited to collaborate with the Project Management Institute for a special podcast mini-series exploring the transformative role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare. Following the fireside chat between HIMSS CEO Hal Wolf and PMI CEO Pierre Le Manh at HIMSS25, HIMSS experts and partners will be featured on three episodes of PMI’s AI Today podcast.

Produced as part of PMI’s AI Today podcast, the three-part series will spotlight HIMSS subject matter experts and industry partners as they dive into key opportunities, challenges and implications of AI within the healthcare landscape.

The mini-series will feature dynamic conversations on the real-world application of AI technologies, how they’re improving care delivery, transforming health organizations, and what healthcare leaders should be thinking about next.

The first episode will air on July 16, 2025, featuring Rob Havasy, Senior Director at HIMSS and a recognized expert in AI applications for health systems. Havasy will kick off the series by sharing real-world examples of AI applications in healthcare.

On July 30, Ryan Sadeghian, Chief Medical Officer at the University of Toledo and HIMSS AI content advisor, will build on the conversation on AI strategies in the healthcare field.

The series will conclude on August 13 with Lukasz Kowalczyk, HIMSS AI in Healthcare Forum speaker and CEO & Founder of Soothien HealthTech Advisory.

The podcast mini-series aims to spark meaningful dialogue and deepen the understanding of AI’s potential to shape the future of healthcare through expert perspectives.

The episodes will be shared via HIMSS and PMI channels on the date of publishing.
