HIMSS Featured on 'Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid' Public Television Program
HIMSS President & CEO Hal Wolf recently discussed the future of digital health transformation on the educational Public Television program, "Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid."
Wolf was joined in the segment by Baptist Health Chief Digital & Information Officer Aaron Miri. Together, Wolf and Miri explained how innovative tools can drive more accurate decisions and better outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals, unlocking new possibilities for improving healthcare worldwide.
"We have to make every moment count with every physician, nurse practitioner, and we have to make sure that the patient is carried from one location to another, from one specialist, from one physician, from one nurse to another, without dropping any information and maintaining a storyline," Wolf told interviewers. "AI gives us the ability to look across a vast number of documents and information in a split second that normally would take a conscientious doctor or nurse hours of research. And that's the opportunity that AI brings forward to us."

Filming took place at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Florida, a health system that made history in 2025 by becoming the first organization to achieve Stage 7 validation on the HIMSS Community Care Outcomes Maturity Model (C-COMM).
In the Viewpoint program, Miri explains that the use of novel technologies alongside a deep understanding of clinical workflows has helped Baptist Health reduce professional burnout.
"HIMSS has allowed us to really learn from the best of the best out there, as well as learn from what other folks may have experimented with and didn't work so we didn't recreate that here in Northeast Florida," he said. "Because of that, now Baptist Health Jacksonville is a focal point of exchanging data, exchanging messages and exchanging care delivery methodology amongst each other so that those patients feel supported and more importantly, feel joy.
Keep an eye out for Wolf and Miri on Viewpoint, broadcasting on more than 170 participating Public Television stations nationwide throughout this year.
