The 2026 HIMSS APAC Health Conference & Exhibition, co-hosted in Singapore by HIMSS and SingHealth, marked a significant moment for digital health in Asia with HIMSS signing two Memorandums of Understanding and a partnership, underscoring the growing momentum of international collaboration in healthcare transformation.

HIMSS AI Outcomes Framework Memorandum of Understanding

HIMSS and five digitally mature healthcare providers in Singapore, Korea and Taiwan signed a memorandum of understanding for the founding of the new HIMSS AI Outcomes Framework. The founding members will contribute the experiential evidence and real-world outcome data to build the framework, which will become the world's first evidence-based standard for measuring impact and value of AI in healthcare.

The founding members include SingHealth, one of Asia's largest healthcare clusters; Asan Medical Center; National University Hospital; Seoul National University Hospital; and Taichung Veterans General Hospital.

The HIMSS AI Outcomes Framework will officially launch at the 2027 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition, with measurements, roadmaps and peer benchmarks and a peer-reviewed journal publication to follow.

Memorandum of Understanding with Seoul National University Bundang Hospital

HIMSS and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding to combine the power of SNUBH’s clinical research and expertise with HIMSS frameworks and advisory expertise to advance digital health and AI adoption within the global healthcare community.

The two organizations plan to collaborate on government-funded research projects, leveraging HIMSS maturity models, Digital Health Indicator and subject matter expertise.

HIMSS and SNUBH agree to work together to advance AI adoption and outcomes, including through advisory support, research, case studies, contributions to academic publications and presentations and speaking engagements.

With this partnership as a starting point, HIMSS and SNUBH plan to engage and collaborate with other hospitals in Korea as well as systems across Asia and globally.

Partnership with Ministry of Health of Malaysia

HIMSS is partnering with the Ministry of Health of Malaysia to advance Malaysia’s “1 Person, 1 Record” vision by collaborating on a national digital health maturity initiative.

The partnership will begin with a proof-of-concept assessment in the state of Perlis, applying HIMSS's Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) and Community Care Outcomes Maturity Model (C-COMM) to evaluate digital maturity at a selected hospital and a group of community clinics.
