Over 1,800 healthcare leaders, innovators and professionals gathered 23 to 25 August in Singapore to explore the latest technologies and strategies reshaping the healthcare ecosystem at the 2026 HIMSS APAC Health Conference and Exhibition, co-hosted by SingHealth, Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster.

Under the theme of Trust, Intelligence and Agility: Re-engineering APAC Health Systems in the AI Era, conference attendees explored how healthcare organizations can move beyond AI experimentation toward responsible, evidence-based implementation. Discussions centered on the governance, digital foundations and organizational readiness needed to establish trust in AI, alongside the leadership approaches required to turn insight into action and scale innovation across complex health systems.

The exhibition floor featured more than 50 organizations and companies showcasing the technologies and solutions supporting healthcare transformation, including solutions spanning AI, digital health, smart hospitals, interoperability, cybersecurity and connected care.

At HIMSS26 APAC, HIMSS and five digitally mature healthcare providers in Singapore, Korea and Taiwan signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the new HIMSS AI Outcomes Framework. The founding members will contribute the experiential evidence and real-world outcome data to build the framework, which will become the world's first evidence-based standard for measuring the impact and value of AI in healthcare. The founding members include SingHealth, one of Asia's largest healthcare clusters; Asan Medical Center; National University Hospital; Seoul National University Hospital; and Taichung Veterans General Hospital.

HIMSS also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Seoul National University Bundang Hospital to combine the power of SNUBH’s clinical research and expertise with HIMSS frameworks and advisory expertise to advance digital health and AI adoption within the global healthcare community.

HIMSS established a partnership with the Ministry of Health of Malaysia to advance Malaysia’s “1 Person, 1 Record” vision by collaborating on a national digital health maturity initiative.

HIMSS26 APAC also hosted the HIMSS AI in Action Challenge, where healthcare vendors and providers presented real, deployable AI solutions that are already piloted or ready for implementation. A panel of judges from across the healthcare field selected Eirbot, a generative AI-powered nursing robot designed to ease frontline healthcare staffing shortages, as the winner of the AI in Action Challenge.

A dedicated Singapore Public Healthcare Pavilion offered attendees a closer look at how Singapore's public healthcare system is advancing artificial intelligence, digital transformation and integrated models of care. The pavilion brought together Singapore's three public healthcare clusters, SingHealth, the National University Health System and the National Healthcare Group alongside the Ministry of Health Singapore and national HealthTech agency Synapxe. The showcase highlighted digital health initiatives, AI applications and innovations supporting care delivery across the country's public healthcare ecosystem.

Following the main conference, delegates participated in the HIMSS26 APAC Hospital Visits Programme on 26 August, featuring two SingHealth's hospitals: Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) as well as National University Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Alexandra Hospital. Participants visited these leading institutions to see how digital strategies are being translated into clinical and operational practice and to gain first-hand insight into the transformation journeys of some of Singapore's most respected healthcare organisations.

Through shared learning and collaboration, HIMSS26 APAC provided a platform for healthcare leaders to explore how innovation can move from intention to action helping to build stronger, more connected health systems for the future of the region.
