The 2026 HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition will offer a range of professional development opportunities designed to help healthcare and health IT professionals expand their career knowledge, earn continuing education credits and earn industry certifications. 

Registration is open for HIMSS26, slated for March 9-12, 2026, at the Venetian Convention & Expo Center in Las Vegas.

HIMSS26 will equip participants to earn continuing education credits across a wide range of disciplines. Eligible credits will be available for senior healthcare executives (ACHE), physicians (CME), nurses (CNE), pharmacists (ACPE), clinical dietitians (CDE), psychologists (APA), social workers (ASWB), project managers (PMP and others), health information management professionals (AHIMA), information security professionals (IAPP), cybersecurity professionals (GIAC), certified imaging informatics professionals (CIIP) and individuals seeking contact hours toward the renewal of CAHIMS, CPHIMS or CPDHTS credentials.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to sit for a HIMSS certification exam on site. On March 10, exam administrations will be offered for the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems, Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems and Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy. Exams can be added directly to conference registration to reserve a seat. 

In advance of each exam, registered candidates will be invited to participate in an exclusive 90-minute preparation session. Led by HIMSS staff alongside certified industry subject matter experts, the prep session will provide study guidance, test-taking strategies and an open Q&A period to help candidates approach the exam with confidence. 

HIMSS members have exclusive access to session recordings from HIMSS25, allowing them to continue earning CE credits beyond the global conference.
