The HIMSS Virtual Care Community invites healthcare professionals, policymakers, and innovators to join the upcoming webinar The Virtual Health Hub: Bridging the Gap and Transforming the Future of Healthcare Delivery, taking place on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

The one-hour webinar will examine how virtual care can transform access to care in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities when grounded in local partnerships, cultural safety, and sustainable design. The discussion will highlight the Virtual Health Hub in Saskatchewan, Canada, a model that is redefining how health systems can integrate digital health solutions to improve access and quality of care across diverse populations.

The Virtual Health Hub represents a forward-looking approach to healthcare delivery, designed to connect patients, providers, and communities through integrated digital platforms. Attendees will gain insights into the mission and methodology behind the Hub and how it deploys sustainable digital healthcare solutions in Indigenous and remote regions and will discuss the challenges and barriers that arise when implementing digital solutions within underserved populations and across mainstream health systems.

The session will also explore the growing role of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced virtual care tools, in shaping the future of equitable healthcare delivery.

This webinar will be moderated by Sara Webster, Senior Consultant for Virtual Health at Alberta Health Services and features Dr. Ivar Mendez, Director of the Virtual Health Hub.
