2026 European Projects Insight Report
European projects are powerful catalysts for transforming healthcare across Europe. By bringing together researchers, healthcare providers, policymakers, industry and patients, they accelerate innovation, strengthen health systems, and improve outcomes through collaboration, digital technologies, and evidence-based practice.
The HIMSS European Projects Initiative helps maximise the impact of EU-funded projects by connecting them with key stakeholders, increasing visibility, fostering strategic collaboration and supporting the translation of research into policy and practice.
The initiative is built around three complementary components:
- European Projects Pavilion – showcasing EU-funded projects at the HIMSS European Conference & Exhibition.
- European Projects Workshop – bringing together policymakers, experts, patients and project teams to exchange knowledge and co-create solutions.
- European Projects Insight Report – capturing strategic insights, recommendations, and lessons learned to support future implementation.
Together, these activities create a collaborative platform that connects projects, strengthens partnerships, and aligns European research and innovation with the EU's digital health priorities, supporting greater adoption, scalability and long-term impact.
