At HIMSS25 Europe in Paris, the Digital Maturity Roadmap track offered a deep dive into how countries and health systems are leveraging HIMSS digital maturity models, such as EMRAM, INFRAM, AMAM and CCMM, to accelerate digital transformation and align with broader European health goals.

The track featured a range of case studies from countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany, and Wales, each demonstrating how maturity models are helping systems achieve greater efficiency, patient safety, and technological readiness. In some regions, including Germany and Wales, funding mechanisms are now directly tied to demonstrated progress on digital maturity benchmarks. This approach is encouraging healthcare organizations to adopt more strategic, data-driven approaches to transformation, with maturity assessments serving as a shared language between providers, policymakers, and technology partners.

This track highlighted that digital maturity models are becoming indispensable tools for navigating the complexity of health system modernization.
