Intelligent Disruption Through Tech at HIMSS25 Europe explored how emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and immersive platforms, can transform healthcare in ways that are innovative, equitable, practical and human-centered. This program theme emphasized the concept of “agentic AI,” a new approach to artificial intelligence that actively supports decision-making, coordinates care across settings, anticipates patient needs and optimizes clinical workflows.

Highlighted was the importance of rethinking digital health strategies, moving away from legacy systems and instead anchoring innovation in the lived experiences of patients, caregivers and clinicians. This shift ensures that the technology being deployed reflects real-world challenges and delivers tangible value at the point of care.
