The Future of Workforce

The Future of Workforce track tackled one of the most pressing challenges facing global healthcare systems today: the workforce crisis. As health systems around the world struggle with staff shortages, burnout and the rapid pace of technological change, the track programming highlighted the urgent need for strategic, digitally enabled workforce transformation.

Central to the theme was the critical role of digital co-design, where frontline staff are directly involved in shaping the tools and workflows they use every day. Successful digital transformation was shown to depend on workflow-based redesign, ensuring that technology enhances the clinical experience.

The track also explored the essential role of reskilling and continuous education of the workforce and the importance of data-driven planning.

The track called for a future in which digital tools are designed to empower healthcare workers with co-design, training and systemic alignment serving as the foundation for a resilient and sustainable workforce.
